Terms and Conditions

Please read carefully this terms and conditions before you (provider of tours to the travelling passenger) request us (Marco Polo Tour) to make booking on your behalf. By requesting us to make the booking, you agree that you have read, understood and agreed with the following “Terms and Conditions”, and irrevocable consent to be bound by all said “Terms and Conditions”, including any updates thereto. We (Marco Polo Tour) have the right to change the Terms and Conditions, in whole or in part, at any time with or without notice.


Tour Terms and Conditions

Responsibility and Liability

  • All the bookings (as listed in the itinerary) are designed by Marco Polo Tour for the respective providers of tours to the travelling passenger. We shall do our best to make sure all the tour arrangements will be the same as planned.
  • The bookings (as listed in the itinerary) by Marco Polo Tour are operated by independent local tour providers. We act as a service provider for doing arrangement with the providers of tours, transportation, sightseeing and hotel accommodations. Marco Polo Tour shall be exempt from any liability in the event of an accident resulting in, but not limited to, loss or damage of properties, injury to people, death during trip, delays, irregularities or other occurrences beyond its control (including but not limited to the below occurrences):
    • Traffic, road conditions, accidents, mechanical problems, authority of law, public enemies, strikes, riots or act of God.
    • Your failure to obtain required documentation. Example, passport, visas and etc.
    • Your failure to follow instructions including but not limited to check-in/out times, meeting time and venue, and baggage handling
  • Should weather or other unforeseen circumstances cause a delay in transportation or sightseeing tour, we and the local tour providers reserves the right to alter, postpone or cancel the tour. For any loss or additional charges incurred, shall be borne by the participants
  • We reserve the right to change and/or modify the bookings in the itinerary for the benefit of the tour and unforeseen circumstances as listed above in this section
  • We and the local tour provider reserves the right to withdraw any travelling passenger as a member of the tour if the travelling passenger’s behavior or conduct is deemed detrimental to or incompatible with the health, safety, interests, harmony and welfare of the tour group as a whole. Under such circumstances, we and the local tour operator shall be under no liability thereafter to any such person, and no refund shall be given.

Travel Insurance

  • Marco Polo Tour strongly recommends our travelling passenger to acquire insurance on medical, trip cancellation, and baggage, etc. We act as service provider for arrangement with the local tour providers of transportation, sightseeing and hotel accommodations, all terms and conditions will be borne by the respective local tour providers, and Marco Polo Tour shall be exempt from any liability for loss or damage of properties, injury to people, delays, accidents, irregularities or other occurrences beyond its control

Amendment and Deviation (while on tour)

  • Marco Polo Tour accepts no responsibility for the value, quality, reliability or authenticity of any additional amendment, deviation or optional tours purchased with the local tour providers while on tour
  • Any amendment and/or deviation requested by the travelling passenger while on tour will be handled on case by case basis with no promises. Any additional cost resulted from this amendment and/or deviation will be borne by the travelling passenger by cash on the spot
  • No refund will be made with respect to accommodation, sightseeing tour, admission tickets or any other services listed in the booking or itinerary but not utilized by the travelling passenger while on tour

Tour Fare Includes

  • Transportation, hotel accommodation and admission fees mentioned in the itinerary

Tour Fare Excludes

  • Any personal based expenses, such as phone calls, laundry, travel insurance, etc.
  • All costs of activities which are not mentioned in the itinerary, or stated “optional”
  • Tips to driver and tour guides
    • Suggested USD7.00 per day per pax
    • For individual hotel or airport transfer, USD5.00 per pax
  • Extra bed or “roll-away” for the third pax

Payment/Amendment/Cancellation/Refund Terms and Conditions

Payment

  • Payment may be made in cheques deposit and/or bank transfer
  • A service fee may be imposed to you for certain payment instruments (e.g. international wire transfer) and this will be made know to you prior to the payment
  • Unless it is stated otherwise in our separate Agreement Contract, full payment is required 7 calendar days before the travelling passenger’s arrival date to the visiting country

Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • It is advisable to make early bookings and reservation.
  • Cancellation Fees are stated below:

    8 days - 14 days 50% of the tour fare
    7 days and less Full tour fare

Amendment and Deviation (while on tour)

  • Any amendment and/or deviation requested by the travelling passenger while on tour will be handled on case by case basis with no promises. Any additional cost resulted from this amendment and/or deviation will be borne by the travelling passenger by cash on the spot
  • No refund will be made with respect to accommodation, sightseeing tour, admission tickets or any other services listed in the booking or itinerary but not utilized by the travelling passenger while on tour
